Unlike other sports, there are not a massive amount of different ways to bet on rugby league. Usually, you will find that you can only bet on individual matches or the outright winner of one of the tournaments. Although some sites like William Hill offer in play betting for big matches, you wont usually be able to find correct score, handicaps, margin of victory or first/half second half betting. Theres nothing to stop you placing multiple bets e.g. a bet on the winner of two different matches; you must be win both in order to get a return which will be bigger than just betting on the outcome of one game.
Rugby league odds
Make sure you understand how to interpret odds before you place a bet. Odds will be fractional or decimal. A fractional odd looks like this: 2/1. This means for every 1 pound you bet, you will win 2 in return. Odds of 1/2 mean that you have to bet 2 pounds to win 1 pound.
Decimal odds are popular in Australia and the easiest way to read decimal odds is to convert them into fractional odds. 2/1 in decimal odds is 3. You take 2 divided by 1 and always add 1. 1/2 in decimal odds would be 1.5o. You take 1 divided by 2 and add 1.
You should always shop around the different bookmakers in order to find the best odds on the rugby league game you want to bet on.
